Associate Research Specialist hired

September was the first month that the lab expanded from a lab of one, to a lab of two. Dr. Suzuki hired Emma Recchia as the lab’s first Associate Research Specialist at the end of September. Originally from Maryland, Emma completed her Associate of Arts in Business at Montgomery College in Maryland, and graduated from Cornell College in Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Emma shared her thoughts on being a part of the Suzuki Lab:

“I am very excited to apply my biology immersion education experience from Cornell, as well as my business related knowledge from Montgomery College, to the Suzuki Lab and its cancer research. I think that Dr. Suzuki’s work with light microscopy and FRET imaging is fascinating. I cannot wait to see how the mechanistic research becomes translationally-based as the lab develops throughout the years. Dr. Suzuki has been very welcoming while also creating an environment with clear and driven expectations.”
