New URS Joins the Lab

The Suzuki Lab is excited to announce that we have been joined by Lauren Damgaard, a first-year undergraduate student here at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Lauren is currently pursing a dynamic double major of Biology and International Studies. She was admitted to the University’s Undergraduate Research Scholars program and found the Suzuki Lab through this program. The URS program is a prestigious academic experience that brings together highly motivated first and second year undergraduate students interested in pursuing research, with mentoring, creative-minded UW-Madison faculty and staff. Here are Lauren’s thoughts on her new chapter with the Suzuki Lab:

“It is such an incredible experience to have the opportunity to work at the Suzuki lab as a freshman. I am so grateful for the opportunity to learn fundamental research skills and further my education. The research is fascinating and I am excited to start and have the ability to work with and learn from everyone at the Suzuki lab.”
